Generation YES is a movement of young people from all over Ireland who are committed to promoting the benefits of EU membership. We will further this core aim through events and campaigns which show that membership of the EU is one of Ireland’s greatest strengths, and offers our generation huge opportunities.
This year we will be campaigning for a “Yes” vote in the Lisbon Treaty.

For too long political debate in this country has been dominated by people who know little about what matters to young people and care even less.
We are frustrated with a political system that failed to inform us and allowed anti-Lisbon groups to spread lies and use scare-tactics.

Not only will we argue for a ‘yes’ vote, but we will explain clearly and simply, what exactly the Treaty does.
Generation YES is independent of any parties or interest groups. The only interest we have is getting the country back on track.

YES the new deal makes the EU more democratic, accountable and transparent.
YES it will help us fight the global challenges we now face.
YES this is the right deal for Ireland.

The Lisbon Treaty is about our future, we need to take control of it.

Are you a fully independent group?
Yes. Generation Yes takes no direction or funds from any political parties. Members of parties are of course welcome to join and take an active role, but the organisation is fully independent.
