Andrew Byrne, Executive Director
Andrew Byrne is founder and executive director of Generation YES. He is a former Trinity Student Union President and in that capacity, directed campaigns on sexual health, environmental protection and educational reform. Andrew was secretary of the Europen Youth Parlaiment for six years and was responsible for bringing the 56th International Session to Dublin. Andrew is currently Chief of Operations for Ireland for Europe, the independent citizens’ campaign for a ‘Yes’ vote, headed by Pat Cox.

Bart Storan, Campaign Manager
Bart Storan is the campaign manager and recruitment officer with Generation YES. Prior to joining GenYES Bart worked for Landmine Action Liberia on a reintegration project for ex-combatants. Bart has a Masters in Human Rights from the London School of Economics, where he was a researcher in the human rights school and arranged a series of lectures on Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law.

Sharon Waters, Communications Director
Sharon Waters is responsible for publicity and events for GenYES. Sharon’s background is in campaigning on human rights and environmental issues, most notably for Amnesty International and the Australian Red Cross. Prior to joining Generation YES, she worked in public relations, representing Dublin City Council, the Lord Mayor, and environmental projects including the Change campaign.

Dave Walker, Online Campaigning Director
Dave specialises in Internet political communications and drives Generation YES’s online activities. He has been involved in innovative new media activities. While at university, he was part of the first campaign team to use Facebook in Ireland for political advertising. David has a Masters in European Studies from the London School of Economics.

Dan Hayden, Research Director
Dan is primarily responsible for Generation Yes Research and campaign materials. Prior to joining Generation YES, Dan was President of UCD Students’ Union, working on issues like student fees, climate change and voter registration. For a number of years he has been involved with Headstrong, the National Centre for Youth Mental Health, and has worked as a rapporteur for the Office of Uachtaran na hEireann. Dan wrote his master’s thesis on political communication strategies in the last Lisbon Referendum. He is currently pursuing a PhD in EU Law & Governance.

Clodagh Power, Legal Counsel
Clodagh Power recently graduated from UCD with a degree in law. While at university Clodagh wrote for the UCD Observer and worked as an advisor for the Student Legal Service. Clodagh spent a year at De Paul University Chicago and worked as an intern at the International Human Rights Law Institute and a volunteer at the Obama presidential campaign at his Chicago Campaign Headquarters.
